What's new
- More reliable voice & video calls — calls now set up their connection through BlindPost's own network rather than a third-party service, and connect more reliably when the two sides are on different networks (say Wi-Fi on one end and mobile data on the other).
- Calls recover instead of dropping — if the connection wobbles mid-call, BlindPost re-negotiates and restores audio and video automatically. A short grace period rides out brief network blips instead of hanging up on you.
- Clearer call screen — connection status now reads in plain language and sits in a fixed layout (no flicker), the call shows the other person's real avatar, and the timer starts only once media actually connects — not the instant you tap Call.
- Call fixes — fixed a crash when ending some calls, and a graphics-resource leak that could make calls start failing after the app had been open for a while.
- Slow mode: more intervals — group slow mode adds 15-minute and 30-minute options, and the cooldown now counts down for every message type (videos, files, contact cards), not just text and images.
- Friend-request notifications — you get a push when someone sends you a friend request, so you don't have to open the app to catch it.
- Topics & channels polish — topic posts keep your original line breaks;
blindpost://buttons inside a post now open; deep links open in the right-hand panel on desktop; you can reply to a forwarded topic; and several labels read clearer (channel vs group, "no longer subscribed"). - Group member menu — long-press a member's avatar to reach the member menu even on burn-after-read messages; the menu reflects the member's current role; and the blocked-members list refreshes in place right after you unblock someone.
- Auto-burn messages from a member — long-press a member's avatar in a group to auto-burn their incoming messages for a set time (from 15 minutes up to 7 days). It stays on your device only — the person isn't notified and other members aren't affected — and lifts on its own when the time's up. Review or end it early under Group settings › Auto-burned members.
- Video playback fallback — if a video can't be decoded inside the app on a particular device, it now opens in your system player instead of just failing to play.
- Clearer media progress — chat and topic videos share one consistent upload/download progress ring with a percentage.
- Scan from My QR Code — start a scan directly from your own QR code screen.
- Repair Message Sync — a new tool re-pulls messages for a single conversation if anything ever looks out of sync.
- Linux — no more black screen when the media library isn't installed; the dependency is now declared.
- Forward up to 9 at once — channel posts included — multi-select forward now accepts channel posts too, and a forwarded post keeps its source-channel tag. You can select up to 9 at a time.
- No more stuck join requests — if a group or channel you asked to join is disbanded, its entry under My Applications updates to "disbanded" (with a notification and a badge) instead of waiting forever.
- Renaming updates on your own device too — when you rename a group or channel you own, the new name now updates right away in your own settings and chat list, matching what everyone else already sees.
- Undo a dismissed announcement — closed an announcement banner by accident? An Undo appears so you can bring it right back.
Stability and privacy improvements throughout.
